Cacao and Crowns
Co-create with the Spirit of Cacao and Flowers
Located in McMinnville, OR
Join me for an immersive experience that celebrates creativity and honors the ancestors. Connect with tradition through a sacred cacao circle and the artful creation of Hei, Tahitian flower crowns.
Throughout spring and summer, I am hosting private Cacao and Crown group events for five or more guests in my backyard or yours.
Why Flower Crowns?
Tahitian flower crowns, or hei, aren’t simply adornments; they are living, breathing stories woven from petals and stems. Each flower carries a memory, a vibration—a fragment of love, a whisper of beauty, the eternal dance of life and death. Wearing one isn’t just a decoration—it’s embodiment.
The Spirit of Cacao and Creativity
Cacao and creativity are inseparable—threads woven from the same fabric of aliveness. Creation isn’t just about form or beauty; it’s a ritual, a way of integrating ourselves into the breathing, pulsing world. It’s how we remember that we are both the Creators and the Created Ones. When shared in the presence of a cacao circle—a communion with a plant celebrated for its ability to soften the heart—the act of making takes on new depths. Cacao blended with gardenia opens the door to our creative and powerful hearts, inviting us to connect deeply with spirit.
When I co-create with cacao and serve it to others, I connect with my ancestors, blending it with water, a touch of honey, coconut cream, and gardenia. If you have any allergies to these ingredients, please let me know, and I will happily prepare an alternative for you.
Connection, Community, and Love
Courage isn’t about standing alone. True strength comes from knowing you are upheld—by all your relations, your chosen family, your community. That’s the kind of courage we’re being asked to cultivate now: the courage of connection. Because our deepest power, our greatest resilience, comes from our bonds—with ourselves, with one another, and with the living, breathing, more-than-human world around us.
What to Bring for the Flower Crown Ceremony
Our ceremony will be held in my backyard, and we’ll be sitting on the grass in a circle. Please bring the following:
- Any flowers, greenery, or decorative elements you’d love to include in your crown (some materials will be provided). SEE DETAILS BELOW
- Scissors or floral shears, if you have them.
- String, floral wire, or ribbon if you want to customize your crown more deeply.
FLORAL DETAILS
- Flowers and Greens: Bring flowers and greens to share and create with! If you have access to ferns, please bring those as well. I will provide some flowers and ferns for the crown bases and backing, but bringing your own will add a personal touch.
- Flowers: Choose flowers that inspire you! Check your yard first—dandelions, lilacs, hydrangeas, dogwood, roses, geraniums, day lilies, zinnias, and medium-sized dahlias, etc. are great options.
- Flowers to Avoid: Delicate flowers like rhododendron, tulips, and daffodils, tend not to hold up well. If you’re buying flowers, opt for a mix of sizes and colors that speak to you.
- Greens: Greens are essential for Tahitian crowns, particularly ferns, which form the base layer. Other great options include mint (my favorite!), basil, lemon balm, and eucalyptus. You’ll need more greens than you think!
- If you can’t bring flowers, please let me know ahead of time and bring $25 with you (or Venmo me in advance), and I’ll pick up flowers for you.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
- Seating: This event will take place outdoors in my backyard, so feel free to bring a chair if sitting on the grass isn’t comfortable for you. Consider what will make you most at ease.
- Weather: Be prepared for shifting outdoor conditions—bring layers, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
- Allergies: Please note that I have two small dogs on the property, so please keep this in mind if you have allergies. I will have them inside during the event times.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE
My home and backyard are not ADA-compliant and may not be suitable for those who use mobility aids or need paved pathways. Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions about accessibility, and I’ll do my best to support you.
Let’s gather in community, get creative, and make beautiful crowns together!

Gathering to make flower crowns was a beautiful celebration of connection and the abundance of the season. With Galactic Ashley’s grounded magic guiding us, it became a meaningful way to elevate the energy of the mourning flowers from my father’s passing into something vibrant and alive. Surrounded by blooms and calming energy, I left feeling nourished, joyful, and completely in tune with nature.

Mother of two
I’m so glad we did the flower crown making experience. It was such a simple, beautiful way to spend time with my daughter. We both had a great time getting creative with the flowers, and it felt really relaxing and fun. The atmosphere was welcoming and easygoing, which made it even more enjoyable. I loved seeing how proud my daughter was of her crown—and honestly, I felt the same way about mine! It was a meaningful way to connect with each other and create something together. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet and memorable bonding experience.
