Join me on a Visual Medicine Journey of Intuitive Mark-Making and self-discovery—a process that invites us to fall in love with the complexities of the human experience. For me, painting—or any creative practice—has always been a sacred space where I feel deeply connected to the divine. It’s a channel that opens, offering clarity and guidance, helping me navigate periods of growth while feeling a little less alone. Let’s make one intuitive mark and take one step at a time.

Suggested Materials

Thank you for being here and creating with me. Ensure you are following me on Instagram so we can play together. All you need to get started is some paper and basic paint—there’s no need to purchase everything on this list. These art supplies are items I’ve collected gradually over time.

PAPER

• 100 sheets of square paper, approximately 9 x 9 inches (choose a size that works for you).
• For example, Cutting 30 sheets of Canson 12 x 18-inch (140 lb) paper will give you 60 pieces—plenty to get started!
• If you want to work small, this is a great choice.

PAINT, PAINT PENS, INKS, MARKERS

• Acrylic paints: Fluid and heavy-bodied in primary colors (yellow, red, blue) plus black and white
  (Golden brand recommended).
• Acrylic Ink
• Paintbrushes and foam brushes: A variety of shapes for different techniques.
• Sharpies
• Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliners
• Jelly roll pens (White, Multicolored, Metallic, Glitter, Neon)
  (Sakura brand recommended)
• Paint pens (Posca and Molotow brands recommended)
• Spray paint or spray ink
  If you want to invest in high-quality spray paints, I suggest checking out Spray Planet.
• Watercolor paint set (my absolute favorite set)

MARK MAKING TOOLS

• Exacto knife (Great for cutting collage materials
• Scissors and Micro-tip scissors (great for collage)
  (Fiskars brand recommended)
• Pencil and eraser
• Compass
• Magazines or collage papers
• Acrylic gel medium (for incorporating collage materials into paintings)
• Old sponges, toothbrushes, or other brushes (for creating unique marks)
• Vegetables, fruit, or potatoes (can be carved into stamps)
• Speedball cutter and rubber blocks for carving stamps
• Gel Press Print Plates
• Plants and sticks (can be used as brushes)
